Our Leadership Team


Vicky Williams Grahan | Chief Digital Officer

Vicky Williams Grahan joined Coyuchi in 2024 and as Chief Digital Officer.  A digital veteran with over twenty years of experience, she brings expertise in DTC ecommerce and marketing from her prior executive leadership roles at Parachute Home and Girlfriend Collective. Ms. Grahan has a track record of driving profitable growth for brands through implementation of holistic and impactful go-to-market strategies. She’s held prior senior management roles at Atom Tickets and Guess? Inc. and began her career in marketing at American Express. An avid home renovator and decorator, she was drawn to the craftsmanship of Coyuchi’s product along with its authentic sustainability mission. Ms. Grahan holds a B.S. from UCLA and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.

Neil Kee | Chief Financial Officer

Neil Kee joined Coyuchi in May 2024 and serves as the company's Chief Financial Officer. During his 18+ year career, Mr. Kee has held a number of executive roles within the consumer and retail space, including Solly Baby (2021-2023), an infant & juvenile products company, Violet Grey (2019-2021), a beauty and personal care retailer, and Dogeared (2018-2019), a California-based jewelry brand. Early in his career, Mr. Kee was an investment professional at The Riverside Company, a global investment firm, where he made control investments in public and private companies out of the firm's flagship LBO fund, and an investment banker at Harris Williams & Co., where he focused primarily on consumer and retail M&A transactions. Mr. Kee holds a B.A. from Michigan State University.

Marcus Chung | Chief Operating Officer

Marcus Chung is our Chief Operating Officer, overseeing supply chain, sourcing strategy, sustainability and IT since May of 2022. His previous work with ThirdLove (2019 to 2022), Stitch Fix (2016 to 2019) and The Children’s Place (2012 to 2016) saw him leading global teams to deliver exceptional product quality, and developing strategies with the broader apparel industry to drive sustainability and protect garment workers' rights in the supply chain. Mr. Chung served as a Trustee for Wesleyan University and served two terms on the board of directors for Net Impact, a non-profit organization whose mission is to mobilize a new generation to use their careers to drive transformational change in their workplaces and the world. Mr. Chung holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Brenna Freisleben | Head of Merchandising

Brenna Freisleben joined our company in January 2023 as our Head of Merchandising. She brings 15 years of merchandising expertise in the Home space from high-growth startups to mass retail. She began her career as an early employee of startup One Kings Lane and most recently was the Director of Merchandising at Walmart overseeing Floor Coverings & Decorative Pillows across brick & mortar and e-commerce. She is passionate about customers, product & design. Ms Freisleben is an alumna of Franklin & Marshall College with a B.A. in Art History & Political Science.

Whitney Thornburg | Design Director

Whitney Thornburg joined our company in 2019. She previously held a teaching position at California College of the Arts in Fashion Design from 2011-2019 and led design for Isda & Co, a San Francisco clothing label known for beautiful textiles and timeless designs, from 2001-2010 and 2013-2014. During her time at California College of the Arts, Ms. Thornburg developed and taught fashion design curriculum in sustainable practices and creating circular systems to examine the life-cycle of product. Ms. Thornburg studied Fashion Design at Iowa State University.

Silvia Mazzucchelli | Board Chair

Silvia Mazzucchelli joined our Board of Directors as its Chair in April 2022. Ms. Mazzucchelli is currently a senior advisor at The Boston Consulting Group, and serves as board director of VTEX (NYSE), a global digital commerce enterprise platform, and as director of Fair Harbor and Toms Shoes Inc.  She previously held several other board of director roles for public and PE backed portfolio companies. 

Ms. Mazzucchelli’s contributions in strategy development, consumer brands, and digital transformations leverage 25+ years track-record as a consumer and retail business leader and advisor. In 2021, she was CEO for The Collected Group, a KKR portfolio company, and from 2019 to 2020 she was CEO for ModCloth, a Walmart e-commerce company. From 2010 to 2019 she held various senior executive roles for American Apparel, Gildan Activewear, Toms Shoes, and GUESS? Inc. She began her professional career at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where she spent over 12 years assisting Fortune 500 clients in consumer and retail in Europe and North America.  

Ms. Mazzucchelli graduated with an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and holds a BSBA degree from Bocconi University in Italy and an International Business Diploma from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Ranjeet Bhatia | Board Member

Ranjeet Bhatia has been a member of our board of directors since 2009. In 2000, he co-founded and is managing director of Saffron Hill Ventures, a venture capital firm with a focus on technology and cleantech. He currently serves on the board of directors of Agilyx, a pioneer in advanced recycling of post-use plastics, and Optasia Medical, a manufacturer of computer-assisted detection software for medical imaging. Mr.Bhatia earned a B.A. degree in environmental science from Occidental College, an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business and an M.A. degree in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies.

Mr. Bhatia brings extensive knowledge of the cleantech sector and the broad range of “green” companies in the industry, as well as a deep background in early-stage and growth companies, emerging markets, mergers and acquisitions, and capital market activities.


Amber Tarshis | Board Member

Amber Tarshis has been a member of our board of directors since April 2022. Ms. Tarshis is an accomplished retail and entertainment marketing executive with extensive experience leading the marketing operations of many major brands. She is the Chief Marketing Officer at Jellysmack, a global creator company, where she oversees brand strategy, public relations, experiential marketing, media planning, product & content marketing, and corporate social media. Prior to Jellysmack, Ms. Tarshis led marketing at movie ticketing tech startup Atom Tickets, where she drove brand awareness and customer acquisition through digital marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships with all the major film studios and leading brands, like Amazon, T-Mobile, and JP Morgan Chase. Earlier in her career, she worked on the launch of the Discovery Communications and Hasbro TV Network, and also led brand initiatives at Warner Bros., working globally on film franchises like Harry Potter. In addition to the entertainment industry, Ms. Tarshis has also utilized her direct-to-consumer retail expertise as SVP of Marketing for global fashion brands Victoria’s Secret, head of Marketing for Puma North America, CMO at Guess? Inc. and Pacific Sunwear. Ms. Tarshis holds a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences.

 

Margaret Gould Stewart | Board Member

Margaret Gould Stewart is a global leader in the field of user experience design. She currently serves as an independent investor, advisor, and trustee to a range of venture capital funds (including Moxxie Ventures, f7 Ventures, and Bling Ventures), private equity-backed companies (including East Fork Pottery, Minna Goods, Diaspora Spice Company, and Emerge.io), and nonprofits (Chair of the Board of Williamstown Theatre Festival, Member of the Board of Trustees of Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum). As a design executive, Margaret led some of the most consequential teams in consumer technology, and her work figures prominently into the design of the modern Internet. She served as a design executive at Facebook/Meta from 2012-2022, most recently as Vice President of Product Design & Responsible Innovation. During her tenure there she also led the design and research functions for Ads & Business Products, AI, Privacy, Workplace, and New Product Experimentation. Previously, Margaret served as YouTube's Global Head of Design (2009-2012) and before that as Google's Head of Design for Google Search and Consumer Products (2007-2009). Margaret brings a wealth of knowledge around user experience, digital platforms and advertising to her role on the Coyuchi board, along with a passion for sustainability and quality design. Margaret holds a Master’s degree in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and a B.A. in Communication and Theatre from Boston College.
