Warm California sunlight. Quiet music playing. Coffee brewing in the kitchen. This is life at home for Rocky Barnes. As an entrepreneur and lifestyle tastemaker, Rocky is known for her signature blend of laid-back style and effortless elegance. So it comes as no surprise that her Los Angeles abode captures this aesthetic perfectly, where she lives with her husband Matt and their two young boys.

She recently invited Coyuchi behind the scenes for a glimpse into her home and everyday life—styling her favorite pieces across bedding, bath and kitchen, and sharing how comfort, sustainability, and a little bit of boho charm guide the way she lives.

How would you describe your home style or aesthetic?

I’d say it’s modern with a boho twist—definitely homey and layered, with lots of neutral tones and natural textures. I love mixing in pops of color and pattern here and there to keep things interesting.

It’s really important to me that our home feels relaxed and welcoming, and the pieces I choose reflect that—soft linens, woven textiles, vintage finds. Pieces that feel like they’ve lived a little. I want every room to feel lived-in, in the best way.

What room do you and your family spend the most time in, and why?

Definitely our living room—it’s where everything happens. The kids play, Matt and I have coffee there in the mornings, and it turns into a movie spot at night. It’s the heart of the house.

I make sure there are lots of pillows and throws so it always feels cozy. I especially love the Paracas Alpaca Cotton Knit Throw. It’s the softest throw I’ve ever owned and gets so many compliments.

What’s your favorite way to spend a Sunday at home?

Slow mornings are my favorite. As a business owner and mom, they don’t come often, so I like to take advantage of them by cooking a big family breakfast and enjoying lots of cuddles with the boys in something comfy.

Sundays are for resetting the house, too—fresh sheets, a bit of organizing and getting things ready for the week ahead.

What’s your favorite Coyuchi piece, and how do you style it?

It’s hard to choose just one, but I’m obsessed with the Organic Relaxed Linen bedding. It looks so beautiful and effortless, and it just gets softer every time we wash it.

We styled it in our bedroom with the Pebbled Handstitched Organic Quilt—it gives that clean, classic look I love. And in the boys’ room, we use the Organic Crinkled Percale Sheets—they’re so breathable, soft and safe for their sensitive skin. I love that I don’t have to worry about any harsh chemicals being used in their bedding.

Why is living with organic, sustainable textiles important to you?

Honestly, I think it’s part of a bigger shift in how I see wellness. I’ve always cared about what I put in my body and, especially now as a mom, I want to make sure my home is healthy too.

With Coyuchi, I know everything is made without toxins or synthetics, which gives me peace of mind. I love that it’s not just sustainable, but actually beautiful and high quality too.
