Rustic Linen Blanket

Linen gets its unmistakable character from variations in the yarn that create soft slubs throughout the weave. Our Rustic Linen highlights and celebrates that rich texture with chunky yarns woven in variegated yarn-dyed stripes. We backed it with soft, undyed ivory cotton to create a blanket that’s cozy, breathable and welcome on any bed in every season. Stitched with bar tacks and finished with a knife edge.

Linen is made in India from European flax. Cotton is from Turkey.

All of our cotton and linen products are machine washable. For whites and light colors: We recommend machine washing on the gentle or delicate cycle with warm water and non-phosphate soap. For dark colors: We recommend machine washing on gentle or delicate cycle with cold water and non-phosphate soap. Line dry, or tumble dry low and remove promptly. This was a bit of an investment for our house - not used to spending over $400 for a blanket - BUT it is probably one of the most beautiful linen blankets I've come across. I ordered it in Pewter w/ Tangerine. The pattern is subtle and texture is comforting. The flannel underside is cozy, but the top is a bit rougher, which is what you'd expect from linen. Price aside, we have been really pleased with this purchase.

I love the color + the texture!
I'm using this (Pewter w/ Tangerine-Deep Slate) as a couch cover and I love it! Especially I like this blue-grey color as a background of the Tangerine line. And I like the texture too. The right amount of "roughness" (almost like a soft hemp cloth.)

A few issues
I coveted this blanket for years before I finally decided to buy it. We use it on top of our bed, like a light coverlet. There are a few issues with quality that I wish I had seen mentioned before, so I decided to write them here for future buyers. First, the linen top is attached to the [admitedly super soft] flannel underside via pinstitches that are placed certain distances apart. In the first blanket we ordered, the top piece did not line up with the bottom piece, so every location of a stitch created a 1"-1.25" "bump" in the blanket. No matter what we tried, we could not get the blanket to lay even remotely flat, so we returned it for another. We still have this same problem with the second, but it is less pronounced (though stil noticeable).

Second, this blanket shrinks a signficant amount when laundered according to the instructions. The Queen size used to fit our Queen mattress perfectly, but when washed in cool water and dried on tumble dry low, it shrank close to 2.5" on every end (so 5" lengthwise and 5" across). Now, the ends hang over the bed, but don't even reach the bottom of the mattress (so our sheets are visible).

Hope this is helpful.
