Gathered Nature: Building A Natural Collection

Fall 2018 Gathered Nature
Gathered Nature is the practice of acquiring items that are natural and organic. Inspired by those who enjoy searching for objects along the coast and who find beauty in the raw, simple details of Mother Nature. We believe in applying this practice indoors to create an organic sanctuary with thoughtfully curated home goods. For our fall collection, refined use of extraordinary fibers and design elements inspired by the coast produces pieces that are as inviting as they are natural. We know curating a relaxed and inspired home is important, which is why all of our new products pair beautifully with your Coyuchi favorites.

Coastal Morning
Using a dobby loom, we’re able to create a pattern filled with texture and detail, like waves on an ocean. That’s what gives our GOTS-Certifed Rippled Stripe Organic Duvet Cover its unique combination of effortless versatility and up-close intrigue. We launched a white option for fall so it can mix and match flawlessly with your existing sheets. Our Merchandiser recommends pairing the Rippled Stripe Organic Duvet Cover and Shams in Alpine White with our best-selling and textural Organic Crinkled Percale Sheets in Pewter and lastly, to pull the look together and add some warmth, our sustainably produced Undyed Alpaca Pebble Knit Pillow Cover in earth. The elemental palette reminds us of a sleepy, relaxed morning on the coast.

Bay Area Fog
Woven from pure organic cotton then stone washed for a soft hand-feel, our Trinity Organic Matelasse Blanket + Shams features a warm textural landscape of hand stitched squares. As the season brings chillier weather, we recommend keeping a thicker blanket at the end of your bed. Our new Sequioa Washable Organic Cotton and Wool Blanket combines the soft feel of cotton with the warmth of wool. The two fibers are twisted together before weaving to create a tonal and textural depth, like that of the the evening sky. We love collecting pillows to change the feel of a room with minimal commitment. Our new Amador Organic Pillow Cover features a bold weave and distinctive stripes. Crafted in a factory that recycles its wastewater, for a timeless pillow that is designed with respect to the planet in mind. Our coveted handwoven Braided Rope Organic Pillow Cover combines the right amount of visual depth and interest reminiscent of a relaxed pebbled landscape.

Chaparral Sunset
Curate a layered look starting with our best-selling Organic Linen Chambray Sheets. Linen is a temperature regulating fiber for year round comfort. Our sheets are dyed using low-impact dyes for color that’s kind to the planet and to sensitive skin. For this look we added two layers atop the duvet. As a base, our new Trinity Organic Matelasse Blanket adds mid-weight warmth and adds textural depth without over powering the room. We paired this layer with our new Mojave Linen Blanket, which adds color and playfulness. The pattern of yarn-dyed stripes moves between cool, warm, and neutral colors, with gray warp fibers that add nuanced tonality. Linen is best when it’s been aged with multiple seasons in your home and this blanket is sure to be a staple year after year.

Layer on newness
We've launched a new color in our Cirrus Supersoft Organic Cotton Throw. Aptly named Sky, the soft blue evokes the color of a brisk afternoon sky.
"Softest throw in the house. I love this throw. I use it on my side of the bed since I am a little more cold natured than my husband. And, it’s great for snuggling while having my cup of morning coffee on the patio." -- Bass K.

Layer on a classic
Crafted in Portugal from exceptionally fine organic cotton yarns, our Cascade Organic Matelasse Blanket pairs a light, lofty feel with an allover stitched texture inspired by quilted kantha cloth.
"Great feel and weight. The pictures do not do this blanket and shams justice. I love the hand feel of these. They remind me of a vintage hand-stitched blanket but are updated for a modern look. Wash up nicely and are a great medium weight." -- Ashley P
