The Future Is Blue

The Future is Blue

The truth: Even as business committed to people, planet and process, we have a carbon footprint. Though organic agriculture builds soil health and helps protect water run-offs through natural filtration, there’s other taxing steps in textile manufacturing such as energy, transportation emissions and packaging waste, just to rattle off a few. But with this footprint comes an opportunity to create change and challenge other companies to do the same: small steps as a community that lead to greater impact. This is why we are proud members of 1% for the Planetand through this partnership, we give back a portion of sales on select products to preserving coastal lands, the very thing that inspires our designs and impacts the vital thing we need to grow our cotton and sustain life: water.

When discussing our brand’s involvement with retail holidays like Black Friday we asked ourselves, how can we change the conversation this weekend from consumption to purchasing with intention? For Coyuchi, we pride ourselves in doing this every day with efforts like Coyuchi for Life (the first closed loop subscription for home textiles), supporting Fair Trade practices and the use of organic fibers. And on weekends like this, we’re exploring different ways to partake in holiday shopping that is true to our brand ethos.

That’s why this Black Friday weekend Coyuchi will be giving back 1% of all sales site wide to Coastside Land Trust. We invite brands and consumers to sell and consume consciously. Elect to buy from companies who produce products transparently and responsibly.

The future is blue. Join us.
